1. παρέλαβε τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν παρὰ τοῦ μεσσίου, καὶ κηρύσσει αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ.
He received the promise from the Messiah, and he preaches it in the church/assembly.
2. ἐγένοντο οἱ μαθηταὶ τοῦ κυρίου.
They became the disciples of the Lord.
3. ὁ χριστὸς ἐξέβαλε τὰς ἁμαρτίας τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς.
Christ cast out the sins of the sinners and healed them.
4. καὶ εἴδομεν τὸν κύριον καὶ ἠκούσαμεν τῶν λόγων αὐτοῦ.
And we saw the Lord and heard his words.
5. οἱ ἀπόστολοι εἶδον τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ θεοῦ, ἐγένετο γὰρ αὐτὸς ἄνθρωπος καὶ ἔμενεν ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ.
The apostles saw the Son of God, for he became a man and remained in the world.
6. ταῦτα εἴπετε ἡμῖν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, ἐκεῖνα δὲ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ.
You (plural) said these things to us in the temple, but those things in the house.
7. οὐδὲ εἰσῆλθες εἰς τὴν ἐκκλησίαν, οὐδὲ εἶπες λόγους ἀγάπης τοῖς τέκνοις.
You (singular) neither entered into the church/assembly, nor did you speak words of love to the children.
8. τὰ ἱερὰ αἱ πισταὶ ἔλιπον, καὶ κατῆλθον εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν.
The faithful women left the temples and went down into their houses.
9. ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἤγαγε τὰ τέκνα πρὸς τὸν κύριον ὅτι ἔσχε τὴν ἀγάπην τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ.
The man led the children to the Lord because he had the love of God in his heart.
10. οἱ δίκαιοι ἔφαγον ἄρτον ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεόν.
The righteous ate bread in the wilderness and glorified God.
11. ὁ χριστὸς ἔπαθε πονηρὰ ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτωλῶν.
Christ suffered evil things on behalf of sinners.
12. τὰ τέκνα ἤνεγκε λίθους καὶ εἰσέβαλεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ προφήτου.
The children brought stones and threw them into the house of the prophet. (Neuter plural subject taking singular 2nd aorist
verbs).
