Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ἐν ψαλμοῖς ᾠδὴ τῷ Δαυίδ. Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ἐν ψαλμοῖς·

1 Hear me when I call, Oh my righteousness God: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

4:1 Ἐν τῷ ἐπικαλεῖσθαί με, εἰσήκουσέν μου ὁ θεὸς τῆς δικαιοσύνης μου·
ἐν θλίψει ἐπλάτυνάς μοι·
οἰκτίρησόν με, καὶ εἰσάκουσον τῆς προσευχῆς μου. 		4:1 ἐν τῷ ἐπικαλεῖσθαί με εἰσήκουσάς μου, ὁ Θεὸς τῆς δικαιοσύνης μου·
ἐν θλίψει ἐπλάτυνάς με.
οἰκτείρησόν με καὶ εἰσάκουσον τῆς προσευχῆς μου.

2 Oh you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? How long will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.

4:2 Υἱοὶ ἀνθρώπων ἕως πότε βαρυκάρδιοι;
ἵνα τί ἀγαπᾶτε ματαιότητα, καὶ ζητεῖτε ψεῦδος;

3 But know that Yahweh has set apart him who is godly for himself: Yahweh will hear when I call to him.

4:3 καὶ γνῶτε ὅτι ἐθαυμάστωσεν κύριος τὸν ὅσιον αὐτοῦ, κύριος εἰσακούσεταί μου ἐν τῷ κεκραγέναι με πρὸς αὐτόν. 4:3 καὶ γνῶτε ὅτι ἐθαυμάστωσε Κύριος τὸν ὅσιον αὐτοῦ·

4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

4:4 ὀργίζεσθε καὶ μὴ ἁμαρτάνετε·
λέγετε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν, καὶ ἐπὶ ταῖς κοίταις ὑμῶν κατανύγητε διάψαλμα. 		4:4 ὀργίζεσθε, καὶ μὴ ἁμαρτάνετε·
ἃ λέγετε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν, ἐπὶ ταῖς κοίταις ὑμῶν κατανύγητε.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in Yahweh.

4:5 θύσατε θυσίαν δικαιοσύνης, καὶ ἐλπίσατε ἐπὶ κύριον. 4:5 θύσατε θυσίαν δικαιοσύνης καὶ ἐλπίσατε ἐπὶ Κύριον.

6 There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Yahweh, lift up the light of your countenance on us.

4:6 Πολλοὶ λέγουσιν, τίς δείξει ἡμῖν τὰ ἀγαθά;
ἐσημειώθη ἐφ' ἡμᾶς τὸ φῶς τοῦ προσώπου σου, κύριε. 		4:6 πολλοὶ λέγουσι·

7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their grain and their wine increased.

4:7 ἔδωκας εὐφροσύνην εἰς τὴν καρδίαν μου·
ἀπὸ καιροῦ σίτου καὶ οἴνου καὶ ἐλαίου αὐτῶν ἐπληθύνθησαν. 		4:7 ἔδωκας εὐφροσύνην εἰς τὴν καρδίαν μου·
ἀπὸ καρποῦ σίτου, οἴνου καὶ ἐλαίου αὐτῶν ἐπληθύνθησαν.

8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for you, Yahweh, only make me dwell in safety.

4:8 ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κοιμηθήσομαι, καὶ ὑπνώσω·
ὅτι σύ κύριε κατὰ μόνας ἐπ' ἐλπίδι κατῴκισάς με. 		4:8 ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κοιμηθήσομαι καὶ ὑπνώσω, ὅτι σύ, Κύριε, κατὰ μόνας ἐπ' ἐλπίδι κατῴκισάς με.
