Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ἐν ὕμνοις ὑπὲρ τῆς ὀγδόης, ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυίδ. Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ἐν ὕμνοις, ὑπὲρ τῆς ὀγδόης·

1 Oh Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.

6:1 Κύριε, μὴ τῷ θυμῷ σου ἐλέγξῃς με, μηδὲ τῇ ὀργῇ σου παιδεύσῃς με. 6:1 κύριε, μὴ τῷ θυμῷ σου ἐλέγξῃς με, μηδὲ τῇ ὀργῇ σου παιδεύσῃς με.

6:2 ἐλέησόν με κύριε, ὅτι ἀσθενής εἰμι·

3 My soul is also sore vexed; but you, Oh Yahweh, how long?

6:3 καὶ ἡ ψυχή μου ἐταράχθη σφόδρα·
καὶ σύ κύριε ἕως πότε; 		6:3 καὶ ἡ ψυχή μου ἐταράχθη σφόδρα·
καὶ σύ, Κύριε, ἕως πότε;

4 Return, Oh Yahweh, deliver my soul: oh save me for your mercies' sake.

6:4 ἐπίστρεψον κύριε, ῥῦσαι τὴν ψυχήν μου σῶσόν με ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἐλέους σου, 6:4 ἐπίστρεψον, Κύριε, ῥῦσαι τὴν ψυχήν μου, σῶσόν με ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἐλέους σου.

5 For in death there is no remembrance of you: in the grave who shall give you thanks?

6:5 ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν τῷ θανάτῳ ὁ μνημονεύων σου, ἐν δὲ τῷ ᾅδῃ τίς ἐξομολογήσεταί σοι; 6:5 ὅτι οὐκ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ θανάτῳ ὁ μνημονεύων σου·
ἐν δὲ τῷ ᾍδῃ τίς ἐξομολογήσεταί σοι;

6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

6:6 ἐκοπίασα ἐν τῷ στεναγμῷ μου, λούσω καθ' ἑκάστην νύκτα τὴν κλίνην μου, ἐν δάκρυσίν μου τὴν στρωμνήν μου βρέξω. 6:6 ἐκοπίασα ἐν τῷ στεναγμῷ μου, λούσω καθ' ἑκάστην νύκτα τὴν κλίνην μου, ἐν δάκρυσί μου τὴν στρωμνήν μου βρέξω.

7 My eye is consumed because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.

6:7 ἐταράχθη ἀπὸ θυμοῦ ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου, ἐπαλαιώθην ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μου. 6:7 ἐταράχθη ἀπὸ θυμοῦ ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου, ἐπαλαιώθην ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μου.

8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.

6:8 Ἀπόστητε ἀπ' ἐμοῦ πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν, ὅτι εἰσήκουσεν κύριος τῆς φωνῆς τοῦ κλαυθμοῦ μου. 6:8 ἀπόστητε ἀπ' ἐμοῦ πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν, ὅτι εἰσήκουσε Κύριος τῆς φωνῆς τοῦ κλαυθμοῦ μου·

9 Yahweh has heard my supplication; Yahweh will receive my prayer.

10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

6:10 αἰσχυνθείησαν καὶ ταραχθείησαν σφόδρα πάντες οἱ ἐχθροί μου, ἀποστραφείησαν καὶ καταισχυνθείησαν σφόδρα διὰ τάχους. 6:10 αἰσχυνθείησαν καὶ ταραχθείησαν σφόδρα πάντες οἱ ἔχθροί μου, ἀποστραφείησαν καὶ καταισχυνθείησαν σφόδρα διὰ τάχους.
