Chapter 4
Temptation of Jesus
(Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4:1-13)

ἐκπορευομένῳ

στόματος
θεοῦ.

But in response, he said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live on food1 alone, but on every word that proceeds out through the mouth of God.' ”2
