Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ψαλμὸς ᾠδῆς τοῦ ἐγκαινισμοῦ τοῦ οἴκου τῷ Δαυίδ. Εἰς τὸ τέλος·

1 I will extol you, Oh Yahweh; for you have lifted me up, and haven't made my foes to rejoice over me.

30:1 Ὑψώσω σὲ κύριε, ὅτι ὑπέλαβές με, καὶ οὐκ ηὔφρανας τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου ἐπ' ἐμέ. 30:1 Ὑψώσω σε, Κύριε, ὅτι ὑπέλαβές με καὶ οὐκ εὔφρανας τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου ἐπ' ἐμέ.

3 Oh Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from the grave; you have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

30:3 κύριε, ἀνήγαγες ἐξ ᾅδου τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἔσωσάς με ἀπὸ τῶν καταβαινόντων εἰς λάκκον. 30:3 Κύριε, ἀνήγαγες ἐξ ᾅδου τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἔσωσάς με ἀπὸ τῶν καταβαινόντων εἰς λάκκον.

4 Sing to Yahweh, Oh you saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 For his anger endures but a moment; in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

30:5 ὅτι ὀργὴ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ζωὴ ἐν τῷ θελήματι αὐτοῦ·
τὸ ἑσπέρας αὐλισθήσεται κλαυθμός, καὶ εἰς τὸ πρωῒ ἀγαλλίασις. 		30:5 ὅτι ὀργὴ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ζωὴ ἐν τῷ θελήματι αὐτοῦ·

6 And in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved”.

30:6 ἐγὼ δὲ εἶπα ἐν τῇ εὐθηνίᾳ μου, οὐ μὴ σαλευθῶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. 30:6 ἐγὼ δὲ εἶπα ἐν τῇ εὐθηνίᾳ μου·

7 Yahweh, by your favour you have made my mountain to stand strong; you did hide your face, and I was troubled.

30:7 κύριε, ἐν τῷ θελήματί σου παρέσχου τῷ κάλλει μου δύναμιν·

8 I cried to you, Oh Yahweh; and to Yahweh I made supplication.

9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit?
Shall the dust praise you?
Shall it declare your truth?

30:9 τίς ὠφέλεια ἐν τῷ αἵματί μου, ἐν τῷ καταβῆναί με εἰς διαφθοράν;
μὴ ἐξομολογήσεταί σοί χοῦς;
ἢ ἀναγγελεῖ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου; 		30:9 τίς ὠφέλεια ἐν τῷ αἵματί μου ἐν τῷ καταβαίνειν με εἰς διαφθοράν;
μὴ ἐξομολογήσεταί σοι χοῦς ἢ ἀναγγελεῖ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου;

10 Hear, Oh Yahweh, and have mercy on me; Yahweh, be my helper.

30:10 ἤκουσεν κύριος καὶ ἠλέησέν με, κύριος ἐγενήθη βοηθός μου. 30:10 ἤκουσε Κύριος, καὶ ἠλέησέ με, Κύριος ἐγενήθη βοηθός μου.

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

30:11 ἔστρεψας τὸν κοπετόν μου εἰς χορὸν ἐμοί, διέρρηξας τὸν σάκκον μου, καὶ περιέζωσάς με εὐφροσύνην· 30:11 ἔστρεψας τὸν κοπετόν μου εἰς χαρὰν ἐμοί, διέῤῥηξας τὸν σάκκον μου καὶ περιέζωσάς με εὐφροσύνην,

12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Oh Yahweh my Elohim, I will give thanks to you for ever.

30:12 ὅπως ἄν ψάλῃ σοί ἡ δόξα μου, καὶ οὐ μὴ κατανυγῶ.
κύριε ὁ θεός μου, εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι. 		30:12 ὅπως ἄν ψάλῃ σοι ἡ δόξα μου καὶ οὐ μὴ κατανυγῶ.

30:12 so that my glory may sing praise to you, and I may never be confused.
