1 I will extol you, Oh Yahweh; for you have lifted me up, and haven't made my foes to rejoice over me.
30:1 I will exalt you, Oh Lord; because you have supported me, and didn't cause my enemies to rejoice over me. | 30:1 I will exalt you, Oh Lord; because you have supported me, and didn't cause my enemies to rejoice over me. |
2 Oh Yahweh my Elohim, I cried to you, and you have healed me.
30:2 Oh Lord my God, I cried out to you, and you healed me. | 30:2 Oh Lord my God, I cried out to you, and you healed me. |
3 Oh Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from the grave; you have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
30:3 Oh Lord, you have brought up my soul from Hades, you have saved me from those who go down to the pit. | 30:3 Oh Lord, you have brought up my soul from Hades, you have saved me from those who go down to the pit. |
4 Sing to Yahweh, Oh you saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
30:4 Sing to the Lord, you his pious ones, and acknowledge the remembrance of his holiness. | 30:4 Sing to the Lord, you his pious ones, and acknowledge the remembrance of his holiness. |
5 For his anger endures but a moment; in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

because wrath is in his anger and life is in his will. Weeping will reside in the evening, and rejoicing comes in the morning. | 30:5

6 And in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved”.

7 Yahweh, by your favour you have made my mountain to stand strong; you did hide your face, and I was troubled.

8 I cried to you, Oh Yahweh; and to Yahweh I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit?
Shall the dust praise you?
Shall it declare your truth?

10 Hear, Oh Yahweh, and have mercy on me; Yahweh, be my helper.

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

so that my glory may sing praise to you, and I may never be confused. Oh Lord my God, I will confess you forever. | 30:12
