The Psychology of Lawlessness
| 35.1 [MT=36:1] The lawless man speaks within himself [about] sinning; there is no fear of God before his eyes. 35.2 [MT=36:2] For he has dealt deceitfully before Him, regarding finding out his lawlessness and hating it. 35.3 [MT=36:3] The words of his mouth are lawlessness and deceit; he was not willing to understand how to do good. 35.4 [MT=36:4] He plotted lawlessness upon his bed; he set himself in every way that is not good, and he did not abhor wickedness. |
The Immensity of God
| 35.5 [MT=36:5] O Lord, Your mercy is in the heaven, and Your truth reaches unto the clouds. 35.6 [MT=36:6] Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are a great abyss; You will save men and beasts, O Lord. |
| 35.7 [MT=36:7] How You have multiplied Your mercy, O God! The sons of men shall hope under the shelter of Your wings. 35.8 [MT=36:8] They shall be intoxicated with the fatness of Your house, and You will give them to drink from the winter-torrent of Your delight. 35.9 [MT=36:9] For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we shall see light. |
A Prayer for Protection
11 [MT=36:11] μὴ ἐλθέτω μοι ποὺς ὑπερηφανίας, καὶ χεὶρ ἁμαρτωλῶν μὴ σαλεῦσαι με· | 35.10 [MT=36:10] Extend Your mercy to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart. 35.11 [MT=36:11] Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of sinners shake me. |
| 35.12 [MT=36:12] There the workers of lawlessness have fallen; they were pushed out and shall not be able to stand. |
